STANDARD TAKEOVER @BASSWAX 21/06/2013

The weekend is just around the corner, the sun is shining (at the time of writing), and the Standard Crew are heading out West tomorrow to takeover Galway City's Basswax night - it's our first time out west as a crew in a few years, so we're looking forward to celebrating the solstice with a few familiar faces this Friday night.

Myself and Bob will be bringing the vinyl vibes, while Major Grave will be dropping an exclusive live set, so it should be jumping!

We rolled the record bags down to the station in recovery mode last night, and just about made it in the door to give you another 90 minute back to back traipse through the 12s. Pretty much the tunes we didn't get to play on friday, along with a few we did.

FLUSH UKG Party - Round 2 14/06/2013

Flush residents Johnny and Ed will be kicking of the 2nd UK Garage Party at The Lost Society, Dublin 2 this Friday night from 10.30 till late - they'll be joined by Wez Baldwin and Dean McManus of Waterford's Koma night, and of course, the Standard Crew will be represented by Me and Bob - we'll be strictly pulling out the vinyl UKG classics and white labels for this one - the first party was a madness by all reports so this is set to be a good one. Bring comfy skanking footwear.

Here's last night's show - a selection from Bob followed by one from myself, and finally Major Grave takes to the turntables. Some new and old tunes in there, and like last week, some Standard Crew exclusive tunes and remixes into the bargain. Such is the nature of coming to terms with serato; as is the odd wobble.
