Reminiscent of when 4 Hero re-did 'Naima'. To me anyway. Can only be a good thing.

You can still grab a copy from All City Records. Thanks to Jay for the video.

Last Night 19/05/2012
Here's last night's Standard Radio broadcast with our special guest DJ Aoife Nic Canna - 90 minutes of R'n'B and Hip Hop favourites (with the odd curveball as per Standard runnings). She brought a great selection from her vinyl collection as we expected, and if you enjoyed it (or if you missed it) you can grab it from the download link below...
We're back next week at the same time and place.

Standard Radio Saturday
Saturday night is coming around again, and this week's Standard Radio will be taken over by none other than the first lady of Irish House, and one of our favourite Irish DJ's, the legend herself that is Aoife Nic Canna.
Taking a break from her weekly duties highlighting all that's good in Irish dance music on North Dublin's NearFM, she'll also be taking a break from House music to delve into her sizable vinyl collection from one of her other great loves - '90's R'n'B .
Expect many's a classic from those happy days as she takes to the 1210's from 9 PM until 10.30 for what's going to be a serious change in pace from your usual Standard broadcast.
We don't care if you're listening along on a rusty old FM radio while you're doing the dishes; we still ask that you dress up nice for this one.
Dublin listeners - lock on to Raidio Na Life - find it at 106.4 FM
Listeners outside Dublin can also tune in HERE.
Shout-outs are welcome via Facebook throughout the broadcast.
All times are GMT...
*PS Catch Aoife tonight at Izakaya House Nights tonight (Friday) if you're in Dublin City...not to be missed:)

Ghost'n'Jay - Good'n'Evil
Taking us back to 20 years ago, the flip side to '2 Innocent', the 1993 release from Dublin's Ghost'n'Jay gets a 2012 visual makeover.

Ghetto Priest Featuring RíRá & Junior Delgado - Show Them
Another one from the vaults courtesy of the heavyweight himself RíRá, 'Show Them' also featuring the late Junior Delgado, is taken from Ghetto Priest's 2003 LP, 'Vulture Culture'.
The album also featured 'Rise Up'(below), possibly the finest slice of Irish/Jamaican/via London audio ever recorded. On-U Sound's legendary Adrian Sherwood on the buttons.

Last Night 12/05/2012
Here's last night's broadcast with our special guests Don Rosco and Stacks (Bassbin/Wobble/REACH/PowerFM), on what we hope is only the first (and not the last) time we're graced with a 90 minute live mix for the Standard Radio show. Kicking off with some hard edged UKF before hitting the UKG, and finally some Footwork and Jungle before lights out, this one's a belter.

Standard Radio Saturday
This saturday's Standard Radio show is a special one; we've finally managed to poach Don Rosco and Stacks from their home at Dublin's Power FM, and got them to cross the river to join us at Raidio Na Life for a dip into their record bags from 9 PM until 10.30. It's bound to be a good one...

Ghost'n'Jay - Demons
Here's a slice of paranoia from 2005, 'Demons' by Ghost'n'Jay - unfortunately just this demo survived, hence the sound quality isn't the best. Still good to hear it again though.

Last Night 05/05/2012
DJ Bob took to the turntables last night with some House flavours of each and every hue, with a little Garage and the rest from the vaults. We're back at the same time and place next week, thanks once again to all who locked in under the Super Moon.

Standard Radio Saturday
The Supermoon returns tonight, as does Standard Radio - we'll be effecting gravitational pull on your waistband as ever from 9PM till 10.30 via your FM Radios and computers.
The Standard Crew's DJ Bob will be applying the M-447's to the plastic for the full 90 tonight, so you can expect all sorts from the vertical crates we call record shelves.
Dublin listeners - lock on to 106.4 FM
Listeners outside Dublin can also tune in HERE.
Bob, Major Grave and myself can be contacted for shouts via Facebook throughout the broadcast.

Artek - Out Of Touch EP
I somehow missed Artek aka Ra's Ghul's EP which dropped last month (via B.YRSLF Division); I'm a bit late catching up, but here it is, better late than never, kicking off the month of May with the sound of a producer who's been gaining much attention for his music this last year.
Artek's trademark deep and multi layered sounds are all present, with rhythmic and textural influences of 2 step Garage, House and Electro, to name but a few ingredients in this fine piece of work.
You can grab the title track free via XLR8R - don't forget to purchase the EP now...
