Last Night 13/11/2010

Much thanks to SubOne and Olan of All City Records Dublin for stepping up to the plate for last night's Standard Radio Show. Plenty of UKG classics and UKF mutants from Sam, followed by a selection of vinyl favourites from Olan, including some exclusive upcoming releases on All City. Fono One - Meditate EP

Sean Gallagher aka Fono One is one we've been watching since his productions first made their way down south and caught our attention around the end of 2006. His EP 'Meditate' is dropping soon on Belfast's excellent Rudimentary Records, definitely one for the early xmas stocking. Check 'Arc Tek' above for a taster.

It's bang on two years since I first heard Cooly G's music via her Myspace - in that time its been an upward trajectory via Hyperdub, and now Dub Organiser.. It's been a while coming then, but Ignored Playaz continue their run of great bookings and present her Irish debut this friday night. Support from Marcus himself and our own Bob aka Konspiracy. Expect deep and dubby..

Last Night 06/11/2010

Here's last night's show, just myself on selection this week, playing a sprinkling of newer vinyl amongst the classics and slightly older bits. Any wobbliness/overdriving of the compressor should subside after the first 30...my multitasking obviously needs a little fine tuning. Big thanks to Major Grave and Aido. Back next week.

Stomp returns this thursday and it's a bit of a special affair this time, as the Craic Pipe meets Standard, in the form of a rare visit east by Section Five, and a stroll down the road for Bob. Free in as ever...expect all strains of garage.
