It's Been A Long Time, We Shouldn't Have Left You, etc

Hurray. (I think). It's a new year.

It's a month since the last Standard Radio, and I've missed it, massive pain in the arse and drain on the funds that it can be. Plus my ever-waning grasp on the Gaeilge escalated to a new level of Dubglish twaddle in the last year. Still, if it wasn't an Irish language station the show would soon descend into pure shite talk from the three of us over the occasional record, so small mercies.

Either way, we're looking forward to the first show of 2011 - we're going to carry on in much the same vein as in 2010; only one louder.

I can't do yearly round ups, they've been done better by those who are better at these things, and the internet has made you lazy with all this convenient linking so off you go now and find them yourself. Happy digging, there are some very good ones out there.

If you would like an idea of tunes we liked last year (that got a vinyl release, so it's a limited list of course) I reckon just check some of our old shows from the last year - we spent hard cash on them, and actions speak louder than words.

So if you like the stuff we like, or you're a long suffering regular, lock onto 106.4 FM this saturday night at 9 PM (GMT).

If you're outside Dublin, there's always the Livestream

Many thanks once again to our supporters, friends and listeners. A prosperous and happy new decade to you all.
